Once you've picked a model and placed your order, there's a real timeline before you're actually towing it home. Here's what that process looks like with Rovikk (formerly Teardrops NW).
Lead times vary depending on which line you're ordering from:
Teardrops NW and FanCave are built in Rovikk's Oregon shop, so that window reflects build time. Overland and Toy Hauler trailers are manufactured overseas and imported, so their longer window mainly reflects shipping time — they're then inspected and prepared for customers here in Oregon once they arrive. Coachworks doesn't follow a fixed window at all — since every build is custom, your actual timeline is provided individually once your $2,500 design fee and four-meeting design phase are complete.
These are estimates, not guarantees — actual timelines can shift depending on demand and specific customizations, so it's worth checking current lead times when you place your order rather than assuming they're fixed.
Coachworks follows a different sequence than the standard builders, since every build starts as a custom design rather than a configured model:
1. Pay the $2,500 design fee upfront, before any design work begins.
2. Go through the four-meeting design phase — a kickoff call, a working/planning call, a refinement call, and a final call presenting the completed plan and budget.
3. Once the design is finalized, you'll get a build timeline specific to your project.
4. Pay the 20% deposit to secure the build.
5. Pay the remaining balance before pickup, same as any other order.
If you're hoping to have a trailer ready for a specific trip or season, work backward from the lead time for your line. A Teardrops NW order placed in early spring, for example, should be ready in time for peak summer camping season — but an Overland or Toy Hauler order needs a few extra weeks of buffer given the additional shipping time from overseas. A Coachworks build is harder to plan around a fixed date, since the timeline isn't set until your design phase wraps up — worth starting that conversation early if you're working toward a specific deadline.
Every Rovikk trailer comes with a one-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, and Rovikk's in-house full-service garage handles ongoing repairs and service (Tier 1, 2, and 3 packages) after that — so the relationship doesn't end at pickup.
